若林よう子 Yoko Wakabayashi
2010年より都内ジャズクラブを中心に演奏活動開始。ジャズベーシストの父をはじめ、演奏家に囲まれ育つ。
小学校から高校までミッションスクールで聖歌隊に所属。高校から大学にかけてはロック＆フュージョンバンド活動を行う。
演奏を早くに引退していた父が、晩年に至って音楽活動を再開したことに刺激を受け、父の所属するアマチュアオーケストラに参加。そのころからボイストレーニングを二期会会員オペラ歌手加藤千鶴氏（2021年没）に師事、またジャズ・ボーカルを日本ジャズ大賞受賞者であるマリア・エヴァ氏に師事。幼少期からの様々な音楽との接点で得た独自の世界観を演奏で表現することに努めている。

She has been started her musical performance since 2010, mainly at jazz clubs in Tokyo. She was born in Tokyo, has a jazz bassist as a father and grew up surrounded by various musicians. She belonged to the choir at a mission school from elementary school to high school. From high school to university, she played in a band which played Rock and Fusion.
Inspired by the fact that her father, who had retired from performing early, resumed his musical activities in his later years, she joined his father's amateur jazz orchestra. Since then, she has been studying voice training with opera singer Chizuru Kato (died in 2021), and jazz vocals with the winner of Japan Jazz Award Maria Eva. Through her performances, she strives to express the unique worldview she gained from her exposure to various types of music since childhood.
